Teen Services Librarian
We are looking for a dynamic individual to plan and execute services for youth in grades 7 to 12. Our ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with teens and knowledge of young adult literature. The ability to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential.

The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Identifies needs for teens in the community, and plans and coordinates services to meet those needs.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to all ages, including reference and readers advisory.
  • Manages the Teen Zone as a safe and positive space for teens to hang out, study, navigate a complex world, improve literacy, and improve workforce readiness.
  • Maintains an engaging teen area with displays and other passive readers advisory.
  • Administers the teen volunteer program.
  • Partners with local schools and organizations to serve the needs of community teens.

Requires a master’s of library science from an (ALA) accredited university or progress towards completing an MLS, one year experience working with teens and one year library experience. This is a 40 hour/week position, including days, evenings, and weekends. The starting salary is $18.69/hour and includes a generous benefits package. Public Relations Specialist
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help with public relations activities. The successful candidate must be able to show initiative and work independently. Job duties include designing and producing flyers and brochures, content creation for social media, assisting with promotional efforts, and performing other assigned tasks. Attention to detail and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite are essential skills needed to be successful. Photography skills are preferred. This is a 15 hour per week position; 13.25/hour. Hours will be normally scheduled between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be scheduled for special events.

We are looking for a friendly customer-focused individual to welcome and assist customers by checking library materials in and out and assist them with questions and problems concerning borrowing library materials. The selected candidate will also sort and shelve materials. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential skills. The schedule includes days, evenings and weekends; 16 hours per week, $13.25/hour. Must be available year-round including summer and school breaks.

Library Assistant 2, Learning and Information Services

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide outstanding customer service to customers of all ages. The primary responsibility of this position is providing customer assistance, reader’s advisory and supervision in the library’s children’s, teen and adult service areas. The selected candidate will assist with programs and special events.

Requires high school degree or equivalent, and at least one year in customer service. Library experience, some college or equivalent education. Experience working with children and teens is beneficial. Schedule includes days, evenings and weekends; 18 hours per week, $13.25/hour. Must be available year round including summer and school breaks.
