- Accurately sorting and shelving library materials following the Dewy Decimal system
- Providing quality customer service at service desk
- Cooperatively assisting with programs and events
Must be able to work independently. Other requirements include the ability to: move up to 20 pounds; stand for long periods of time; push carts weighing up to 150 pounds. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and six months customer service experience. Library experience preferred. Schedule includes evenings and weekends; 15 hours per week.
Assistant Circulation Supervisor
- Providing excellent customer service
- Resolving customer problems and complaints
- Supervising and training staff
- Assisting the department manager with all department operations
Self-motivation and the ability to work with little or no supervision are musts. Other requirements include the ability to: move up to 20 pounds; stand for long periods of time; push carts weighing up to 150 pounds. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year office experience, one year supervisory experience, and one year library experience. Six months customer service experience required, one year preferred. This is a full time position (40 hours/week) and includes days, evenings and weekends.
