K-State Hale Library staff will show a film based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling book series, which has appeared on the American Library Association’s list of books that have been banned. We celebrate Banned Books Week to highlight the importance of the freedom to read and to discourage the notion of banning books from libraries. Hosted by Manhattan Public Library in collaboration with Hale Library. Movie description: Rebellion is simmering in Panem as the Capitol prepares for The Quarter Quell and announces a competition that could change Panem forever. Rated PG-13.
