North Central Kansas Libraries Youth Services Consultant
Works with public and school librarians in member libraries within a twelve county regional system to develop and implement programs and services for children and young adults from birth through teen years. Has primary responsibility for implementing the collaborative summer reading program and early literacy programs in conjunction with the State Library of Kansas and the other Kansas regional systems.
Requirements for the position are: MLS degree, one year library experience, one year experience working with children, and one year experience coordinating programs or activities. Requires the ability to: operate a PC and use relevant computer software programs pertaining to library services for children and youth; provide instruction and training for small and large groups; operate a motor vehicle, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
