Special Storytime Notice
Please allow a few extra minutes before storytime begins to find parking. Diagonal street parking is also available on Poyntz across from the library. Storytimes this semester will be held in the lower atrium, accessible by the stairs or elevator near our main entrance.

Weekend Storytimes – Year round

Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. – Year round
A fun combination of stories, songs, rhymes and movement, this storytime is presented by all the children’s librarians throughout the year so that working parents and children of all ages can have a great experience at storytime. Each session is approximately 25-30 minutes.

Weekday Storytimes – January 13th thru April 12th

Mondays at 11:00 a.m. or
Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

This storytime is designed specifically for infants and young toddlers. Enjoy bouncy rhymes, nursery songs, short books, and baby sign language. Caregivers participate with children. Suggested for ages 0-18 months. Each session is approximately 20 minutes.

Mondays at 10:00 a.m. or
Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. or
Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.
Get ready for an active storytime for toddlers and their parents or caregivers. Fun stories, fingerplays, action rhymes and musical instruments will get toddlers moving and learning about animals, shapes, colors and more. Caregivers participate with children. Suggested for ages 18-36 months. Each session is 20-25 minutes.

Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.
This is a lively story and music session for preschoolers with great picture books, action songs, rhymes and dancing with instruments, scarves or a parachute. Suggested for ages 3 and up. Caregivers attend with children ages 2 and under. Each session is 25-30 minutes.

Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. 
This storytime focuses on kindergarten readiness with an emphasis on early literacy skills such as recognizing letters and letter sounds, rhyming, learning new vocabulary and retelling stories. Storytellers use fun books, props, songs and activities that challenge growing minds. Suggested for ages 4 – 6. Children may attend independently. Each session is 30 minutes.
