Ever wondered how the prestigious Caldecott award is decided? Join us for a "mock" Caldecott event to discuss the most distinguished picture books of 2014 and vote on a winner. 1:30-2:30 reading nominated books, 2:30-4:00 brief presentation, discussion and voting. Sponsored by ChALC (Children's & Adolescent Literature Community), the K-State English Dept., and Manhattan Public Library.

Join us the 2nd Thursday of the month for a program geared toward families practicing home education. Library staff will present stories and information about ancient Egypt, followed by a group activity. Suggested for grades K-6.

The new children's library is finished and it's time to celebrate! Everyone in the community is invited to explore the brand new library. Rockin' Rob will perform fun children's music, kids can make crafts, explore the neighborhoods, and see what the new library is all about.
