Construction Update February 18

picture of building face with stone removed

The warm weather in this week’s forecast means we can continue moving forward with construction. Facing on the north side of the building has been completely removed and the rock is being hauled away. Once the space has been cleared, the crew will start work on the building pad.

On the south side, the window well that used to lead to the basement has been filled in and digging is set to begin this week. Utilities need to be re-routed before concrete can be poured for that new building pad. The crew has to dig down 14 feet, lay new utility lines, disable old lines, and then connect the new ones. Hopefully, utility service will not be interrupted.

Parking is still a bit scarce. It is a good idea to allow extra time if you are attending an event at the library. Thank you for your patience.
