Indoor Fun

January can be a tough month if you’ve got toddlers or preschoolers that are tired of being cooped up in the house. Luckily, the library can help! Our shelves are full of books that encourage the reader to move, wiggle, and jump. It may not be as good as running laps around the playground, but it is certainly better than having them run laps around you! Here are some great books to help direct all that energy that they have (and you don’t!):

Down By the Cool of the Pool by Tony Mitton
Wiggle, Bounce, and Stretch by Doreen Cronin
Up, Down and Around by Katherine Ayres
Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow
Gallop!, Swing!, and Waddle! by Rufus Seder
Move! by Steve Jenkins
Wiggle Waggle by Jonathan London
Shake My Sillies Out by Raffi
We’ve All Got Bellybuttons
by David Martin
Head to Toe by Eric Carle

That’s just a start to all the great wiggly books we have. Also, don’t forget that storytimes start TODAY! Check out the storytime schedule to find the best fit for your child!
