Six-Dinner Sid by Inga Moore

Six-Dinner Sid is one of my favorite pet books.  Sid reminds me of a few “stray” neighborhood cats I’ve known.  Somehow they managed to stay plump and sleek despite having no official home.  Sid is like that.  He lives at number one Aristotle Street.  Also number two, number three, number four, number five and number six!  Since his neighborhood isn’t very friendly, Sid is the only one who knows about his multiple homes (and dinners).  Sid’s good luck holds out until he develops a cough.  All six owners take him to the vet who thinks this cat looks familiar.  Learn what happens when the neighbors figure out Sid’s scheme and what he does about it.  The wonderful bright illustrations make this a fun story about taking good care of your pet and also getting to know your neighbors.
