Theme for June: Space

Watch Them Grow’s June theme goes along with our summer reading program: Dream Big, Read! This month we will feature books and fun ideas that explore learning about outer space, planets and astronauts.

Night Sky is one of our new nonfiction books and is perfect for older readers who want a lot of information on everything from telescopes to constellations, and planets to galaxies. You’re sure to enjoy lots of colorful images, both photographs and digitized.

Scholastic Discover More Planets is another new nonfiction book that is appropriate for middle grade readers. This book also features lots of facts and numbers. Even though each planet is discussed on its own, the book also delves into many more areas, including stars, observatories, shuttles and even an interview with a real astronaut!
